Police Officer Tomas Bonet 1953~2009

With deep regret we report death of Police Officer Tomas Bonet, Retired.

Tom passed away Sunday, February 22, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY, after an extended illness. He was 56 yrs. old.

Tom, a Rockland County, NY resident, is survived by his devoted wife Miriam, son Richie (32), daughter Erika (25), and four brothers; Eddie, Angel, Will (former 23PCT) and Hector (former PBMN TF).

Tom retired several years ago as the Community Affairs Officer of the 24th Precinct.

Rita Ladoue

Rita Ladoue passed on Feb. 18, 2009. She was the wife of Joseph Ladoue, charter member and Historian of the Hudson Valley 10-13 Association.

She will be waked at the Edward Finn Funeral Home, 43 E. Main St., Stony Point, NY on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 24 E. Main St., Stony Point, NY on Monday, Feb. 23 10:00 AM.

Capt. Robert J. Larkin 1930~2009

Robert Joseph Larkin, of Warwick, passed away on February 18, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick, NY. He was 78 years old.

Born on November 30, 1930 in New York City, he was the son of the late John Larkin and Irene Barry Larkin. He was married to Rosemary Mullins Larkin.

Bob served with the New York City Police Department for 32 years and retired as a Captain of Detectives. He was a member of the Hudson Valley 10-13, an association of retired and active New York City Police Officers, and American Legion Post 214, Warwick, NY. Bob was an avid marathon runner and golfer. He loved to fish. He was a member of the Warwick Valley Country Club. He was a parishioner of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church and an usher at the 5 p.m. Mass.

Bob and Rosemary were married in St. Veronica's R.C. Church in Greenwich Village on June 7, 1958 and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Anthony's Hospital, especially the Emergency Room, I.C.U., the First Floor nurses and aides, who treated him like a family member, Drs. Bezdicek and Alvarez, religious pastoral women and men, caseworkers and dietary staff.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rosemary Larkin of Warwick; a son, Barry Larkin and his wife Kate, of Old Bridge; a daughter, Colleen Larkin of Warwick; grandchildren: Christopher Barwick, Drew and Paige Larkin; a sister, Florence Ruffini of Syracuse, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers: John Larkin, William Larkin and Harold Larkin; two sisters: Mary Fisher and Eileen Fogarty.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday, February 23, at St. Stephens R.C. Church, Warwick. Interment will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to The Penning's Field Recreational Program for our St. Stephens School Children, c/o St. Stephens Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
